Dr. John W Barnhart

Photo of Dr. BarnhartDr. Barnhart was born and raised in Warren, Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1991. After graduation, he returned to his hometown of Champion where he acquired the practice of Dr. Joseph Sharick. His love for helping children led him to further his education with the College of Optometrists in Vision Development(COVD). Dr. Barnhart received his COVD fellowship in vision development and vision therapy in 2007. He has provided visual consultations for people suffering from traumatic brain injury including concussions for over 20 years.

In his free time, Dr. Barnhart enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include biking, hiking, skiing, and golf. He and his family are members of the Champion Presbyterian Church.
